10 Words
For this project I used video timeline in Adobe Photoshop. I took 10 words that I think describe me and arranged them around a picture I believed describes me. I then staggered how the words came in on the video timeline and there you have it.

Animated Chairs and Table
For this project I made a table and 4 identical chairs. I designed and created the legs of the chairs in Sketchup. I then made the legs a component which allows it to be copied identically and any changes to one component change all of them. Once I had all my chair legs I made the chairs themselves by adding the legs to a seat and back support I made. Then I made the chair a component so I could make 3 identical copies of it. I used the paint bucket tool to paint the brown wooden color on everything in the picture. I enjoyed this project and it helped me learn the concept of components.
Animated Dog House
I made this animated doghouse using Sketchup. It was simple and easy. I added a small patio and dog bowls with food and water. I also gave it a grass floor to really show the setting.

Rugby Is Lit!
Recently, a friend of mine that I attend my youth group with asked me if I wanted to play for his rugby club this year. I knew nothing about the sport except for that there was a ball somewhere in it. I began to attend practice a few times a week. The coach of the club really helped me by showing me simple things like how to pass the ball or the correct way to kick it. It is in a way similar to football but you can only pass backwards, anyone can touch or pick up the ball, the field is much much wider, and there are more people on the field. I have been going to practice for a few times a week for a little over a month and I am really starting to enjoy it. Whether it be the drills or the touch games I have found a lot of enjoyment in just going to practice. I still do not know all the rules of a real game but I am start to get a pretty good general idea for how to play and what to do. I even scored a couple of tries which is the same thing as a touchdown in football. I am very excited for this year and my rugby experience with the Olathe Gents Rugby Club to begin.
Name Writitng
My E9 experience so far has been great! I've learned so much about web design, graphic design, video production, and animation. I have especially liked video production and animation. I really like the process of video production and I the products of animation. I think e9 has really helped me build not only my knowledge technologically but also has built my creativity. I didn't enjoy graphic design as much but I think it was because i was very unfamiliar with the program we were using, Adobe Photoshop Suite. Next year I think I will focus on animation and video production for my two main focus areas of E-comm at Olathe Northwest.

Arcs of a Bouncing Ball
For this project I idolized and used the same techniques I did for my vertical bouncing ball. I first drew three arcs that "stair stepped" each other using the paintbrush tool in Adobe Photoshop. I then made my happy face and sad face that I would use through out my whole project. I just copied, adjusted and messed around with the colors. Simple yet cool!
Here's as video on arcs that should help you better understand the concept.

For this project I created many layers that I then animated. For my first layer I did a simple round ball. I then adjusted the ball slightly for my next layer and gradually adjusted it more and more as I did another layer. I tried to idolize the ideas of squash and stretch and ease in, ease out. Both of these techniques are commonly found in animated cartoons to show speed.
This video is a little long but its a great one if you really wanna understand ease in/ease out.
This video does a good job of showing the idea of movement's squash and stretch.
